Our Story

Native New Yorker, Lucrezia (Lu) Grella, was practically born into the world of designer clothing. As a teenager she worked

in her father’s New York high-end custom clothing shop. It was one of the first in the New York area to carry Italian-made garments. Later a buyer, and salesperson there, Lu developed a signature sense and talent for what styles, cuts and fits would be just right for each customer. After graduating the Fashion Institute of Technology, she ventured from the family business to Rosetti, a mid-size Manhattan handbag manufacturer, where she learned all aspects of design, marketing and manufacturing. After 20 years in the fashion apparel industry and working for high-end stores with

discriminating clients, Lucrezia started designing personal and unique items for kids of close friends and family which allowed her to fully realize her creativity and passion for design and merchandising. In 2005, she launched her first exclusive line drawing inspiration for her collections from color, nature, texture, the seasons and a sense of whimsey. Lu expanded her mission to outfit women and juniors and evolved into LuLu Clothing and Accessories. Her sharp sense for the proper fit is what allows her clothing to offer comfort, freedom and fancy and believes believes “The possibilities are endless for future collections we’ll carry.”
